This 1910s booklet contains instructions for a variety of tatting patterns designed by Anne Orr, one of the most famous needlework pattern designers during the first half of the 20th Century, who produced nearly 100 needlework pattern booklets featuring numerous easy-to-follow charted designs for cross-stitch, embroidery, crochet, knitting, tatting, quilting and rug-making.
The basic patterns are 29 insertions and edgings, and 11 medallions. Some more complex patterns include baby bonnet and bootees, centerpieces and doilies, handkerchiefs and collars.
