Originally published in the 1900s by The Manchester School of Embroidery, The Needlecraft Practical Journal of Irish Crochet Lace (3rd Series) contains patterns and instructions for some of the most exquisite designs of Irish Crochet Lace, illustrated with 34 photo-illustrations directly from the original work.
Please note that full instructions in the method of working Irish Crochet Lace have been given in the previous issues of The Needlecraft Practical Journal, Irish Crochet Lace 1st Series and Irish Crochet Lace 2nd Series. Anyone who has not already learned the work should obtain them first, as the directions in the present one are for those who are already conversant with the process of sewing on the sprigs, the way of working the various fillings, making Clones knots, adding the shaping line or straight-rowing, as it is frequently called, and finally working the edging.
